Tarteeb Encrypted Backup Privacy Notice

Purpose and access

Tarteeb Encrypted Backup is an internal utility for the owner of Tarteeb. It uses Google Drive to store encrypted recovery archives. It requests the Google Drive drive.file permission, which lets the utility create and manage only the Drive files it uses. The permission can allow it to read, change, or delete those files.

Data handled

Each archive may contain Tarteeb ERP database records, stored business files, and deployment configuration. The archive is encrypted before upload. The decryption key is held separately by the owner and is not stored in Google Drive or GitHub Actions.

Token storage and retention

The Google authorization token is kept in a private GitHub Actions environment and used only by the scheduled backup job to upload and verify encrypted archives. The utility does not sell Google user data or use it for advertising. Encrypted Drive archives remain until the account owner removes them; the temporary GitHub copy is kept for two days.

Control and contact

The owner can revoke this access in Google Account settings under third-party connections and can remove the encrypted files from Drive. For privacy questions, contact Hi@tarteebandmore.com.
